The Need:

One of the largest Industry house in India was investing over US$10 billion, in major capital expansion initiative.  As an owner organization a need was felt by the corporate function for development of a common Program and Project Management methodology to drive consistency and alignment between 6 diverse business organizations of the group

Solution/Service:

I2m not only researched the challenges of managing mega projects each of costing US$1 billion in the India bit also visited major project sites to understand the complexity and involvement of different stakeholders, contractors, consultant and suppliers in each large endeavor.  Based on the Global Standards and Frameworks of PMI® as well as other leading standards, i2m developed a complete Process Manual to manage both Large Mega Project (Programs) as well as capacity expansion projects.  The process manual included process definitions, structure recommendation, templates, samples as well as deployment guidelines.  A major workshop was designed by i2m to facilitate the roll out of the methodology.  I2m collaborate with internal and local experts along with corporate function of the client organizations to deliver a workshop for Project and Program Leaders.   The application of the methodology is being planned in industries such Textiles, Metals, Minerals among others.
