Define, Implement and Support an IT PMO for one of the world largest airport

Issue/Requirement:

IT-department of one of the World’s leading Airport wanted to improve its PM Maturity by over 30% in 8 months. They undertook this initiative to develop capability to manage a major expansion program of the airport and bring their projects on track, and to define processes for their PM needs.

Solution/Service:

i2m carried out a detailed assessment of the challenges at the operational level and defined an improvement road map for the organization. The solution scope included defining the PM Processes and Methods, Pilot Project Implementation, Microsoft EPM deployment and PMO Definition, Implementation and Support services.

A major challenge of this engagement was change management and i2m used a combination of on-site and off-shore delivery model and carried out series of intervention on the PM Principles, custom PM Processes and PMO Services across all levels within the department. i2m consultants took on the role of a co-pilot and implemented PM processes and deployed the plans on the EPM System. Support services were provided to the PMO to facilitated them to transition into their support role to track and monitor projects. A key achievement of this engagement was development of an interactive PM process manual mapped to the tools and roles of people involved in project delivery.
